Much of my illustrative art has a recurring theme that could be projected as past, present, and future all wound into one prophetic vision. Gives me pause to consider how I will live out the rest of my days knowing what I've already experienced but time flies with my future escaping so quickly throwing my past in front of me- if that makes sense. Many say that my work is very much stylistically like the German Expressionists. I would describe my art as "Emotionalism"; even the purely abstract pieces. I don't plan these paintings; they evolve and develop from a subconscious place. This one is called "The Passage of Time" painted in 2017. It is getting more attention these days - maybe because of the times. Prints are available through my website with smaller or larger sizes available by request. The original is 20x20.
The Passage of Time painting came together after many painting hours developing intuitively along the process and in contemplation of its meaning. This symbolizes the passing of time as we go through our life's journey from youth to death.
