Abstract Painting on stretched linen canvas, acrylic, floater framed with crackled gold leaf. Image size is 9x12 and framed 11x14.
Titled Yin Yang, the ubiquitous yin-yang symbol holds its roots in Taoism/Daoism, a Chinese religion and philosophy. The yin, the dark swirl, is associated with shadows, femininity, and the trough of a wave; the yang, the light swirl, represents brightness, passion, and growth. This is version and the whole painting feels feminine to me. some may see a woman volition figure, others lines, and circles. However, it connects to you is all that matters. It's quite a lovely piece, soft and pillowy in the painting approach.
